Two GDD design documents (PDFs) from my post graduate at Sheridan college final capstone game project, Project Chronos, linked below.
The first is the story, setting and character game design document section reflecting early stage development by our team. The story section of the GDD included planning out story, characters plot elements, look and feel of game world, game progression, levels features and concepts detailed.
The second is Project Chronos story bible based on evolution of earlier GDD story section. This document further details story and incorporates a setting change to victorian steampunk theme. Games story, main features of world, themes, influences, game beats, and lore collectibles are covered in this GDD story section.
During the project I organized the games story/lore into three depth levels so as to manage what is essential to present for the player and what are secondary and tertiary story/lore elements. See story bible document for further detail.
